Theatre History Project- Part 1

Objective: This project aims to provide students with an opportunity to delve into the rich history of global theatre traditions, focusing on specific regions and periods. Through research, analysis, and presentation, students will gain a deeper understanding of the diverse cultural and artistic influences that have shaped theatre around the world.

This is going to be my final grade of the course so make sure everything is perfectly done and understood. If you have any questions about any little detail, please let me know and don’t hesitate to ask me so that everything is clear.

· Region and Period: Theatre of Spain (1700)

· Library Research: Utilize at least one physical resource available to you. This could include books, journals, or other relevant materials related to Theatre of Spain 1700.
(I am waiting for the campus to send me the physical book I’ll be using on this project based on the topic. I am trying to work to have the book scanned so I can send it to you.) The other research from online that I have is

Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research on your chosen topic, focusing on the following aspects:

· Prominent styles of theatre

· Significant figures and their contributions

· Notable plays and their themes

· Images: Include at least 30 visual images according to the research and sources that you are using of the theatre of Spain. (This images will be used in the PowerPoint to present.

Grading Criteria:

Use of Library Resource:

· Utilization of at least one physical resource from the campus library

· Thoroughness of research and incorporation of diverse sources

· Importance and significance of the library resource to the project

Accuracy of Information Presented:

· Accuracy of information presented.

· Support with evidence and sources.

· Full understanding of the chosen region and period of theatre history

Overall Presentation (100 points):

· Visual appeal and organization of PowerPoint presentation

· Integration of visuals with oral presentation

· Organized and informative exploration of Theatre of Spain 1700

· Engagement and effectiveness of delivery

PowerPoint: Create a visually engaging PowerPoint presentation. (In the PowerPoint I don’t need any kind of information I just need visuals/images and titles of the information you will provide to me) It consists of 20 slides.

Pecha Kucha Style Presentation: Prepare a collaborative Pecha Kucha style presentation to deliver your findings to the class. This presentation should consist of 20 slides, resulting in a concise and dynamic presentation lasting approximately 6 minutes and 40 seconds.

Apart from the PowerPoint I will need a written report of all the information that I will be providing during my presentation (each slide will be 20 seconds only) so I will need just specific and clear information for each slide. A total of 6 minutes and 40 seconds for the whole presentation.
